So we saw each other less then we use to but adjusted to it. He would be off at 9:00 am but I left for work at that time working a 10:00 to 6:00 day shift. He would leave the house at 12:00am to report by 1:00am. Our daily routine changed a little, when Joe was switched to night shift at the station. Soon both our kids were of to collage, and we had an emptier house. Are life was pretty normal, we raised our kids, did the normal husband and wife things. Till later when I got a job working at an office. He worked as a police officer and I was mostly a house wife. We dated for several years and married 2 days after my 23rd Birthday. I met my husband when I was a senior in high school.
I’ve lived in southern California all my life the same town too. I’m now 47 as I sit writing this, but what I’m writing about happened when I was 45. It’s still a tough subject in my life, but I feel writing about it helps to sort it out, and look at the ways my life has changed. I’ve sat down countless times to write this and stopped.
